Finance Office Responsibilities

The Medical Center Finance Office engages in an iterative process to develop financial plans that meet the future investment goals of GUMC in pursuit of the Medical Center’s mission.
Its charge includes reviewing business plans, proposals and policies to meet GUMC and University objectives.
Working with sector leaders, department chairs, and center directors, the MCFO assists in developing departmental budgets and guides performance reviews to ensure department goals are being met through the course of an academic year.
The MCFO represents GUMC when interacting with the university’s CFO on all medical center fiscal matters.
